Scripture Resource Passages: 1 John 3:18; Matthew 24 & 25 Challenging reads

Truth can be found in resources not typically established within an orthodox Christian setting. Believing that all truth is God’s truth I’m offering the paragraph below. The quotation and author may surprise you. The purpose of this week’s post is wrapped with encouragement to orthodox disciples. The worlds’ around us can reveal people espousing truthful insights. Consider the possible connections affirmed in the Scripture Resource Passages and Ghandi’s perspective.

It is better to allow our lives to speak for us than our words. God did not bear the cross only two thousand years ago…It would be a poor comfort to the world if it had to depend on a historical God who died two thousand years ago. Do not, then, preach the God of history, but show him as he lives today through you.” Mahatma Ghandi

Life Application Questions: Do individuals like Mahatma Ghandi help orthodox disciples see God’s presence in non-typical arenas of society? Or, are such individuals to be cast aside because they do not fit a precise mold as a follower of Jesus?

Thank you for reading. Comments and suggestions are always welcome.

  1. Wherever truth appears—from whomever or whatever source(s)— it will be there totally in agreement with THE Truth: Jesus of Nazareth. Thanks for reminding us of this reality, Andrew!
